Oil is my preferred medium, but often with a nod to mixed-media, I allow hints of the under-painting or my original drawing to remain. Recently I have been experimenting with inks,  watercolour and acrylics - and am enjoying the immediacy they offer. 

I love a still life - I can indulge my passion in comfort, where nothing moves and I am in control of the elements.  But recently I have worked on a series of a very special part of the river Tay, Islamouth, where my husband loves to fish. And I have really enjoyed that. Even relishing trying to recreate the ever moving waters of the Tay.

Mainly self taught, I have taken many adult classes over the years and gained an HND at Ayr College in Art and Design in 2008 and I have continued to paint at various day and evening classes and in my studio at home since then.

All of my work is available for sale, and whilst some of the originals have sold, most are available as giclee prints.
